Less than two weeks into the current administration I, for one, would wish this little man Obama would shut his mouth. For all of the supposed eloquence possessed by this fool, he has yet to say anything constructive. It is one thing to state the truth – I am all in favor of stating things as they are – but to constantly spew forth a string of negative remarks, espousing nothing but the worst aspects of our current economic calamity, is nothing but counter productive. When one is in possession of an instrument as capable of molding public sentiment as the bully pulpit the responsibility to elevate and uplift are paramount, especially considering our present state of affairs. This is not to say that one should engage in falsifying the circumstances, for that would be the height of blind irresponsibility, but one of his primary responsibilities is to uplift the population and provide hope to those in dire circumstances. Despite all of laudatory commentary concerning his rhetorical abilities on the campaign trail, as of yet he has been nothing more than a prophet of doom and gloom.
The primary responsibility of the office of the President of the United States is to lead the public through the circumstances we collectively face. The only direction that Obama seems to be capable of leading us is into the abyss of economic collapse. Time and time again, since the beginning of the presidential campaign two long years ago, Obama has done nothing more than talk down the economy in an attempt to dupe the American public in his pursuit of the highest office in the land. This proved so successful that he has continued to spread fear and panic across the land and casting a pall over the collective psyche of the nation.
One must beg the question as to what end does this negativity serve the current occupier of the oval office? His pessimistic rhetoric can only lead to further economic despair and drive us further into recession and possibly into a full blown depression. The only conclusion that one can reach is that his intentions are to deflate the natural optimism of the American people to the point that they become so frightened that they are willing to accept any solution to our current plight. Sadly the only solution that these socialist in power offer is the largest expansion of government spending in the 233 year history of the republic. No mention of broad based tax cuts that actually hold the potential to stimulate the economy, no mention of the latent power possessed by the American people to rescue us from the void, no, only fear and the promise that the all powerful government will be there to pick up the peaces and put them back together as they see fit.
That is their intentions. To bring the people to their knees so that they may beg for salvation from the very institutions that have wrought such destruction. They feel that the resistance to their socialist agenda still possesses some vitality, and that it must be crushed before that can proceed unfettered by the sentiments of the people. Their goal is to saddle us with a government so powerful that it controls our every action, and to do so, the will of the people must first be broken. The only way that they can do so is to drive the economy to the lowest depths so that they may rebuild it in their own image. There is no compassion for the suffering amongst us, only contempt for those who stand in their way, willing to sacrifice everything that they have earned and struggled throughout their life. They seek to break or will, and we must not allow them to do so.
Some may call me a conspiracy theorist, and, if one is considered such if he is willing to call out those manipulators of public opinion in order that they may force their despotic agenda down the throats of the American people, then I am such a creature. The writing is on the wall for everyone to see, if only they remove the blindfold of lies and distortions from their eyes. To them I ask this question: Who is more virtuous, those who are willing to destroy the livelihoods of millions of families and force them into the deprivations of poverty and strife, or the one who is willing to call a spade a spade and stand up against this onslaught of negativity and pessimism that has become so pervasive in today’s discourse.
Obama needs to stand up and lead. Something he has thus far proven incapable of doing, unless of course his mission is to lead millions of uninformed, simple minded tools to the ballot box in order to cast their vote for a product of the manipulative mass media. He thus far has been able to inspire no one with his pessimism except for his legion of uneducated and unproductive masses, who only serve to drain capital away from those who actually have a stake in the economic future of the nation.

Your hysterics are embarassing.
ReplyDeleteYour need to hide behind anonymity is likewise. I would love to debat the issue with you, but, alas, your reply is lacking any substance, therefore I must only speculate as to the degree of your ignorance.
ReplyDeleteOne must beg the question as to what end does this negativity serve the writer of this blog? His pessimistic rhetoric can only lead to further economic despair and drive us further into recession and possibly into a full blown depression. The only conclusion that one can reach is that his intentions are to deflate the natural optimism of the American people to the point that they become so frightened that they are willing to accept any solution to our current plight. Sadly the only solution that these bloggers offer is the expansion of broad based tax cuts. Only fear and the promise that the all powerful government will be there to pick up the pieces and put them back together as they see fit. When one is in possession of an instrument as capable of molding public sentiment as the bully pulpit the responsibility to elevate and uplift are paramount, especially considering our present state of affairs.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a very lame trick my friend. The glaring problem in you attempt to attack my position through the use of my own words is that tax cuts actually STIMULATE the economy as opposed to bloat the size and scope of government, which is what your dear leader is attempting to do. His approach of spending our way out of an economic recession will only result in the prolongation of the problem and a deepening of its effect. This has been proven time and time again, with the only problem being that redistributionist like yourself refuse to admit the error of your ways. You live in a fantasy world in which your actions are driven by a desire to strip wealth from the producers and simply hand it over to those whose sole aim is to consume, without any consideration of its outcome save that of the calming effect it has on your emotions.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, I, nor my blogging brethren, are in possession of an instrument as capable of affecting public opinion as is Mr. Obama. Our voices stand in opposition to his destructive policies and serve to alert our readers to his nefarious intentions. Perhaps that is what has riled your feathers so, as we are pushing back against that which we see as doing harm to this nation and its institutions. In the future you could be a bit more original in your response.
apparently BO is a puppet,a talking head reading a script put in front of him; he's a citizen of the world which would like nothing more than to mire the USA in socialism and mediocrity and remove America from it's leadership position......... who is to gain, who are the puppet masters?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the lame trick. I do understand your position on tax cuts and I agree your position on expanding an already bloated government. In fact, I always thought of government as a crutch for fools. I just found it amusing that your argument might work well the other way around.
ReplyDeleteI also understand the left’s propensity for spending their way out of a crisis. They teach (or maybe preach?) this in college economics. On the other hand, I’m kind of tired of the rhetoric (from both sides). I hate Pelosi only slightly more than Rush.
Either way you look at the issues facing the U.S., all we’re really doing is managing decline. I’m sure we all see it in almost every aspect of our daily life. I think this argument may belong to the right but personally, I believe we’ve forgotten our values. Government is nothing more than a social contract. For the governments part, it keeps a set of publicly acknowledged rules it must follow. However, something our forefathers forgot to include was something they knew through bitter experience; in an open system such as ours the governed have a greater responsibility that no one ever bothered to write down. We have forgotten what government is for. Most people now days look at it as a kind of babysitter to keep us all from harming each other or the system you have to defeat to steal more money. I think we’ve reached a tipping point where personal responsibility is so far out the window, only a disaster could remind us of the values that started this nation.
The point is I think we’re way beyond complaints on a blog. I don’t think it is a meaningful use of all that anger…
Don't you love the irrationality of the liberal thought processes? It goes something like this.
ReplyDelete1. Capitalism is unfair
2. Bush is responsible for everything bad
3. Government is the solution to every ill
4. Obama is the genius and savior
5. Opps, socialism is unworkable and unwanted so let's stop being critical and solve the problem (aka. "The debate is over." = meaning libs can't substantiate any position.)
Sorry libs, your boy Obama and the democrats are going to get hammered everyday for each malfeasant and incompetent step they take until they are rightfully turned out of office.
Get used to it.
